Leslee Forster and Amy Corbin — Black-Eyed Susan Key

Black-Eyed Susan Key

Leslee Forster and Amy Corbin met a few years ago at Hood College while taking graduate classes in Ceramic Arts. They have both been active in the Frederick arts scene for years, creating and selling their work in many local galleries and venues. They immediately realized they were kindred spirits in both art and this community and have been working in tandem on many projects ever since. They participated in "A Brush with Frederick" and Frederick Festival of the Arts in the last few years. They decided to honor the state flower of Maryland by painting Black-eyed Susan flowers all over their key to the delight of many. You can see these native flowers blooming all summer long in Frederick County and the entire State of Maryland. So, that was a natural choice for a design.
