The Key of Life

John Nickerson is a self taught artist who specializes in bright, attractive, public art and murals. Owner of the Gnarly Artly Design Shop in Thurmont, John has murals in Silver Spring, MD, Washington, D.C. , Manchester, MD, Laytonsville, MD, Crofton, MD and St. Johnsbury, VT. He is a freelance artist specializing in bright, attractive, public art and murals. He did a public art commission for New York City's "Big Apple Fest" - 52´tall fiberglass apple on concrete base in August of 2004, a public art commission for Washington, D. C.'s "Pandamania" project - 50" tall seated panda, and was first place poster designer for Frederick, Maryland's twentieth annual Fourth of July event.
